Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (37½ hours per week)

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Department: Event Team (Operations Department)

Responsible to: Senior Event Operations Manager

Location: UK Head Office (Gloucester)

A fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about travel to work within the Mike Burton Group, an industry leader in specialist sports travel and hospitality.

As an Event Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for delivering travel and special events, ensuring that clients receive a superior level of customer service from the point of sale through to the end of each event.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the client experience, acting as the principal point of contact for all allocated clients travel packages both post sale and during events

• Deliver travel events in line with Critical Time Paths

• Be responsible for the maintenance of internal systems and procedures

• Ensure allocated events are delivered in line with sales specifications, allocated budgets and agreed timescales, co-ordinating with suppliers and challenging service delivery

• The production, allocation and distribution of client documentation and travel collateral within agreed timescales

• Overseeing administrational staff issuing and directing work assignments and priorities

• Final checks of all client documentation and liaising between internal and external clients to ensure that all information is provided and correct

• Any other duties reasonably required

Skills and Experience:

• Exceptional administration skills and attention to detail

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Possess an organised approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritise and multi task

• Two years’ experience in the event or travel industry, with emphasis on detailed planning and delivery

• A keen eye for detail in service and delivery standards and the ability to challenge below par service in a professional manner

• A lively and enthusiastic personality with a dedicated and professional approach to work

• A team player with the ability to delegate, lead by example and manage upwards • An ability to learn systems quickly and efficiently

• Available to travel and work at events where required including weekends (must be able to work/travel during long haul events for a period of up to six weeks such as the Summer Olympics 2020 in Japan)

• Industry/sporting knowledge desired

• Customer service travel background desired

• Calm under pressure with a flexible attitude and the will to proactively assist others

• A quick thinker with the ability to deal with and analyse situations in order to achieve positive results

• The availability and flexibility to work out of ‘normal’ office hours both from the office and whilst ‘on tour’
